Improvement of Teacher Education is a contemporary issue of great concern to the educationists. The need of training for Primary & Secondary School Teacher has become a crying need in West Bengal. The Basic motto to establish a Teacher's Training College with a view to giving scope to educated youth for the acquiring Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) degree to enhance their scale and competency to join in teaching profession. Such degree now in a knowledge based society may treated for an essential prerequisite for becoming a teacher in a Primary / Secondary / Higher Secondary School. The College has played a pioneering roll.
